The Association of Students of English, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (ASEK), is deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of our beloved member, Bertha Kokale Hammond, a final-year student of English. Her demise has left an unfillable void in our lives, and we are profoundly sorrowful.
As we mourn the loss of our cherished colleague, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Bertha's family, friends, and loved ones during this agonizing moment. May we find solace in the memories of her radiant smile, unwavering enthusiasm, and remarkable spirit.
Bertha's passing is a tremendous loss, not only to her family and friends but also to our academic community.
As a department, we pay tribute to Bertha's legacy, remembering her as a dedicated and talented student whose creativity, passion, and presence will be deeply missed.

In the meantime, all ASEK students are requested to wear black on Monday, March 10, 2025, and Wednesday, March 12, 2025, as a sign of respect and solidarity. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate Bertha's life and mourn her passing.
