Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin Commissions State-of-the-Art ICT and STEM Center
This facility, known as Lab 14 – Yamoransa Model, is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at advancing digital literacy and STEM education in Ghana.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Speaker highlighted the importance of technology in modern education and encouraged the community to take ownership of the facility to ensure its long-term impact.
He emphasized that while funding and expertise had been secured to establish the center, its success would depend on local engagement and responsible management. The project was made possible through a collaboration between the Helping Africa Foundation, which provided financial support, and TechAide, which contributed to the technological infrastructure.
Additionally, local institutions, including the Nadowli Kaleo District Assembly, the Education Directorate, and the Traditional Council, played key roles in facilitating its implementation.
This initiative aligns with Ghana’s broader efforts to integrate technology into education and equip students with relevant skills for the future.
Similar projects under the Yamoransa Model have already demonstrated positive results in other parts of the country, enhancing teaching methods and fostering greater student participation in STEM subjects. With Lab 14 now operational, the Kaleo community stands to benefit from improved digital learning opportunities, positioning young learners for success in an increasingly technology-driven world.
