Guidelines for Prospective Candidates
1. Obtain a nomination form from the District, Regional, or National GNAT secretariat, or download it from the official GNAT website. GNAT NOMINATION FORM
2. Complete the form clearly and legibly in block letters.
3. Attach photocopies of your last three months’ payslips, SSNIT statement, and GES biometric data printout.
4. Ensure that proposers and seconders also attach copies of their last three months’ payslips.
5. Verify that all submitted information is accurate and complete.
6. Submit the form before the announced closing date to avoid disqualification.
7. Familiarize yourself with the GNAT Constitution and Election Guidelines.
8. Election Timeline

•Regional Elections: July – August
•National Elections: January (of the following year)
9. Nomination Deadlines
•National Elections: At least three months before the conference
•Regional Elections: At least two months before the conference
•District Elections: At least one month before the conference
•Local Elections: At least two weeks before the conference
10. Nomination Requirements
•National Position: One proposer (from nominee’s region) and two seconders (from different regions).
•Regional Position: One proposer and two seconders (from different districts in the same region).
•District Position: One proposer and two seconders (from different locals in the same district).
•Local Position: One proposer and two seconders (from different basic units in the same local).
•Basic Unit: Two GNAT members in good standing (one proposer and one seconder).
